I forgot to post an entry of a film, which I watched last Saturday. An old movie, it is. Watched it for the first time about 2 years ago in the cinema and I was deeply touched. The storyplot was kindda unfamiliar to me but who cares?
The movie is about a newly married couple, Holly and Gerry. The death of Jerry, caused by brain tumor makes Holly withdraw herself from outside world, until her family and friends come to celebrate her 30th birthday. A cake is delivered, and on it there is a message from Gerry. There are10 letters in total, in which give her couragement to face life. All ends with the same word: P.S. I Love You.
I love this movie. Hillary Swank and Gerard Butler did a really good job in making this film enjoyable. It is a good blanding of humor and romance. It can make you laugh now and shed tears moment after. I am impressed that they are not holding back in bringing their characters come to live. Look how Gerard acts as Gerry when he tries to impress Holly by doing some dance, he doesn't hold back and I think that's really cool. You see, the actors and actress here aren't afaid to show their unappealing side, like when Holly chops her teeth in after trippled in the karaoke.
By the way, I love the girlfriends scenes. It's realy touching to see that there exists people like Denise and Sharon, who'd gladly help their best friends Holly when she's having hard times. :)
