I began to watch the series Sex and The City yesterday. So typical of me, I seemed to forget that it is highly impossible for a DVD to last only in 25 minutes-time. I was so out of my mind for not seeing that there were 6 episodes, each lasts for about 25 minutes in a disc. I was on disc 6 when I finally realized that the story didn't connect from one DVD to another. Crap. I then thought that I might need to watch it from disc 1 again and am on disc 5 now. :)
I watch the series in English audio and with English subtitle on. You know, this really helps me to add more words to my vocabularies and listen how they pronounce each word at the same time. Moreover, it makes me realize how much I love the language English and how I want to master the language to the point of equality with the native speakers, or even more. I am not trying to sound like an arrogant bitch but I really want to learn English in-depth. I am totaly in love with it! Maybe I should consider taking English as major when I get to University or you know, living in an English-speaking country doesn't sound like a bad idea at all! Well, I just have to pass these 3 years in HTX.
I always thought that the American accent is cool, while British is.. kindda special. I tried to speak like a British, but always ended up like an idiot British-wannabe. I found the accent difficult to learn. Not impossible, just difficult. It requires you to live in England for a quite long time to get the hang of it. I think the same goes to American but I think it's more tolerable? Well, I am just guessing. I love both accents, to tell ya!
